Bootsy and Buckethead on Pussy... cats that is!

I just couldn’t resist the title of this post because it’s really kinda funny when Bootsy says it in this video clip and even funnier when Buckethead kinda doesn’t react (or maybe he does…).

So I found these video clips on Booty’s MySpace page. I am not a huge fan of MySpace but there are some pretty cool people on it, Bootsy is one of them.

And any friend of Buckethead’s is more than cool :)

Bootsy Collins interview via First Cut

Here is an interview that Bootsy did recently with First Cuts (Sporting News dot com) about ‘his love affair with sports’. He mentions Buckethead a few times (as is probably expected) so thought it was definitely worth a mention here since the two seem to be partners in crime ;)

Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

Bootsy: I knew he did one. I actually cut Buckethead’s first record, his whole first album. He’s like my partner in crime. That’s my cat. How strange could you get, man? That cat took it all the way. He’s just phenomenal. He loves basketball and it’s the same tie in. We’re musicians and we love sports.

Axiom Funk If 6 was 9

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Buckethead’s music, Axiom Funk is just one of the collaborations that Buckethead did with musicians Bootsy Collins and Brian ‘Brain’ Mantia. This song ‘If 6 was 9′ (originally a Jimi Hendrix song) from Axiom Funk’s Funkcronomicon album is one seriously funky tune – and it’s the video clip of the day.
