Some of you may not know but I’ve had a YouTube channel dedicated to Bucket for some time now. It’s not called BHO because when I created it, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to use it for. Then I discovered Buckethead and that’s who I dedicated my channel to.

So you’ll notice the new widget on the side that links to my BHO YouTube channel and the video clips I’ve linked to. Please bear in mind I don’t own any of the clips on my channel, they are merely clips that I’ve added to my favourites from other Buckethead YouTube fan channels such as Petesbloodyhand (which is one of my favourite Buckethead channels).

Feel free to add me on YouTube if you’ve got a channel, I almost always add people if they’re into Buckethead or music in general (yeah, some guy that composes orchestral music even added me lol)

OK, two posts in one day – wtf?! Yeah well, I said earlier that I was inspired and I just checked out this awesome cover of Bucket’s ‘Redeem Team’ by the wonderfully talented Boxenstein on YouTube (subscribe to him – you know you want to!)

I don’t regularly check my video clips on YouTube but I strongly suggest that if you’re the type of person that has collected alot of good video clips over the years, you might want to. And you’d be doing this because if you’ve added any to your favourites section and they’ve since been removed from YouTube, you’ll get an ugly red line of text showing next to your clip that says ‘Video Unavailable’ like I did with my favourite Asylum of Glass clip.

This prompted me to investigate and I have since discovered that thebucketdatabase no longer uploads their video clips to YouTube. Normally, I’d just link back to their new site which is here. But the video clip I had saved wasn’t there I was sad. It’s possible I didn’t see it, but I couldn’t locate it.

I managed to find a copy of the clip in question on YouTube but it is bad quality and nothing like the exceptional original. I miss thebucketdatabase clips on YouTube…

I found this video clip about a Japanese wrestler who dressed up like Buckethead as part of his onstage gimmick/presentation and couldn’t resist checking it out. Turns out the Buckethead segment isn’t very long but seriously, this dude knows how to market himself! His robot dance wasn’t too shabby, either

The Japanese are well known for going over-the-top with their presentations and the wrestler Genki Sudo is no exception. During the course of this video clip, Mr Sudo changes into no less than ten different outfits! I dunno what the guy is like at wrestling but he might want to seriously consider a career in acting, or maybe marketing

There hasn’t been a whole heap of interesting news about Buckethead this week but I found this old video interview on YouTube which I thought might interest people.

It looks like an impromptu interview with Buckethead and Pinchface after a Deli Creeps show at Haight Street Fair, San Francisco, CA 08/06/2003. Bucket is still wearing his signature KFC bucket, too! It’s not very good quality but it’s audible at least.

Ahh amazing and wonderful YouTube. I’d be lost without YouTube and all the wonderfully delightful Buckethead video clips fans upload there.

I had a look through some random video clips and came across this one today which I liked (just kinda ignore the statements inbetween although some of them are kinda funny). I am not quite sure I would place the songs in the exact same order but all of these songs rank right up there with some of my most played Buckethead tunes. And it makes me want to listen to alllllll of them dammit

So I am posting this today – let me know what you think? Good songs? Bad choices? What’s missing – talk to me peeps! Oooh yeah and do this little test, before you watch the vid, play it without looking at it and see if you can name all the songs and their albums off by heart!

I finally managed to locate some (reasonably good) quality video clips on YouTube of Buckethead at various concerts – which are very recent (All Good music festival) and one from my favourite Buckethead YouTube friend, Petesbloodyhand (hey Pete!) which is fantastic quality (the sound is amazing!). And of course, it’s my favourite song of Bucket’s – you guessed it – SOOTHSAYER… ahem.

I have around five of Buckethead’s songs that I play pretty much every day. Soothsayer is one of them… the first time I ever heard it, words eluded me (and I am a writer by profession so to say the impact it had on me was profound is a gross understatement). And I have voted quite a few of the YouTube clips of Soothsayer as favourites of mine, especially if the recording is clear and relatively good quality.

I love this song because every time I hear Buckethead play it differently, it gets me every time, no matter what.

So, today I am posting another video clip of Soothsayer that I found yesterday. And words continue to elude me… still.

Thanks to Saed for showing me this video clip which is just so beautiful and I think captures so much of Buckethead’s persona, not to mention the fact that it’s also another one of Buckethead’s most beautifully melodic tunes.

My Youtube account has been pushed into overdrive listening to all the new music from Buckethead’s latest album ‘A Real Diamond in the Rough’ . As I wait for my CD’s to arrive from TDRS music, youtube is my saviour. And yet again, Buckethead leaves me lost for words with his genius…

This is now one of my favourite songs – right up there with Soothsayer, Aunt Suzie, Asylum of Glass. ‘Dawn Appears’ is a beautifully haunting melody that will undoubtedly touch you – the way only Buckethead’s music can.

Simply divine.
